Eyeshadow Junkie!!
Oh How I Love Thee!!!! Eyeshadow is my single most favorite item of makeup. The more it reflects light, the more I love love love it! I am secretly enamored with duo chrome. I prefer larger palettes as opposed to the smaller ones you find in the drugstore with 4-6 colors in them. I want the most variety possible for the most money. With that being said, however, I do have a certain weakness to single mineral shadows and pigments. I have been doing some online window shopping for my next order, and I thought I would share some of the drool-worthy finds I came across. Yes sir, they took it here. I love it. The Queen came out like a champ. This $20 challenge may have been easier than the face challenge! This outfit is totally something that I would have put together with a much larger budget, and pocketed the extra for some new makeup and a slushy later! Coordination is SOOO simple. Start with a top with 3 colors in it. Use the 1 color as the color of your bottom, steering clear of light and bright colors as the bottom option. Next, choose which color you prefer in a shoe, brown or black. If outerwear is apart of this ensemble, choose another color from your top to incorporate. 123 Presto! Instant outfit. Of course this is the most basic of coordination lessons, but the principle remains the same. If you don't know how to coordinate outside of these simple steps, then leave that up to the professionals and go for what you know. Understand that just because you saw it that way in a magazine does not mean it should be literally translated to real life. You will not, I repeat, will not look like you just stepped off the pages of Elle, you will look insane. This is what the rest of the world sees when you do this, a LUNATIC!

The Lipgloss Jungle
With all the different brands, finishes, shades, consistencies, packaging and applicators out there, it really does feel like a jungle out there. I am a lipgloss junkie. The more brilliant the shine, the better. Lipgloss brings a light to your face AND can double as certain other makeup products you may not have access to in a jam. I love that you can find one practically anywhere and the low price tag is no indication of the quality. This is the one item that is universally flattering and is an every-girl gift no-brainer. Build your lip arsenal! Take to the streets in the shiniest, most outrageous shade you can find. Embrace your inner explorer, run lips first into the wild!
Check Your Footwork!
Don't make me have to hurt you! I am sooooo tired of discussing how important it is to make sure your shoe game is on another level. Not only in shoe selection, but proper care and storage as well. I'm telling you right now, IDK how fine this man is, if his shoes and or laces are dirty and unkempt, he can FORGET about it! It's the first thing you should notice on a person. Your feet TELL your STORY. I don't want to be in the presence of anyone and my feet are talking recklessly. You shouldn't either! This ideology is so important to me and my husband that he always has an extra pair in the car to throw on after work in case he has to make any stops and could possibly be in the presence of others. Please don't sleep on how important this is!!!!
Make your feet your new face!! Pay as much attention to your feet as you would your face before walking out the door. Make sure your shoes are clean, well-fitting, and in good condition. I feel like a Kindergarten teacher!!! No, but seriously, it is a notable sign of maturity AND make the outfit, bringing a person to life. Think of shoes as a way to convey to the world what you want them to know about your personal style. Let me see it! Let me see it! Let me see it!
Top 5 Dead or Alive: My Fave Eyeshadow Palettes
YoyoYo! The other day I was cleaning my brushes and started thinking, "hmmm, which are my favorite eyeshadow palettes of all time? What do I continue to rely on to keep my eyes at their best?!" Most Gurus I watch order their palettes according to what has been recommended or used in other videos to create looks, I can only attest to that to a certain degree....
As far as quality, I do like the opinions of Gurus, as far as color selection and brand, this is where I tend to differ. The palettes I choose are based off of the colors provided inside. I like A GREAT PRICE$, smooth application, high pigmentation, light reflection qualities, variety in shades, and staying power. If these things are present, you have yourself a buyer! I don't play favorites, although I do have brands I COMPLETELY trust, and continue to give them my business. Just realize a palette is a great and easy way to help build your collection, and help you learn what works for you. Trust your own judgement, and experiment, experiment, experiment!

My Fave Accessory: The Scarf!
Man Oh Man!! If I could wear a scarf everyday, I would! I have nothing negative to say about scarves. They are the perfect accessory to any outfit, adding instant style. Due to multiple fabrics and cuts, scarves are able to traverse all seasons. Like any other accessory, of course, the right one needs to be chosen to complement you and your look. I can't wait to find some really vibrant solid colors and an off-white shade to really set my collection off! If your not a scarf fiend like me, it's still good to have a few to dress up a plain tee and a jean jacket, or something super silky and colorful to add some richness to any look.
The rule of thumb is K.I.S.S(keep it sexy and simple). When approaching unfamiliar territory, stick with colors and prints that work for you. Gradually build your collection, as many scarves are inexpensive, you can find yourself buying every scarf you see, with nothing to wear with them! Start with a few, maybe 2 or 3, something solid that can be used multiple ways, like a red or yellow, then look for something printed but neutral, perhaps a black and white houndstooth combo, and finish off with something soft and pretty, perhaps something in a silk floral. Remembering those 3 things will have you looking like a scarf connoisseur! An Eye For Color
I LOVE(<3!) Colors! I love them everywhere, from clothes, accessories, shoes, and makeup. The brighter and more vibrant, the better. You girls can certainly attest to this statement, the richer the color and pigmentation, the higher quality of the item. Notice I did NOT say the higher the price. When purchasing anything, realize that cut, color, and fit are the most important aspects to look for. Rich pigmentation and color help to mask an inexpensive purchase, and can make almost anything appear high end. Keep an eye out for rich navys, deep purples and greens, pretty much anything jewel-toned, regardless of the season. Reds, Oranges, Corals, and Yellows are great colors to pick up as well, as long as they are vibrant. If you happen to run across an item in a metallic hue, GET IT! Metallics have a knack for making any outfit over and immediately adding star quality, even if its just an eyeshadow. Keeping these things in mind, who knows, a $2 tee shirt may become a new wardrobe staple! Happy Hunting;-)

What's In My Bag?
The people in my life would say I carry a suitcase, I beg to differ!! The purpose of a purse is to hold all the things you may need, no matter where your day may take you. Soooo that means my bag size has to be ample and the contents therein lacking nothing. Right now I'm carrying a cognac tote with gold studs. It has a flat bottom and a top snap for quick and easy access. I like to carry a wallet with a wrist strap that can double as a small clutch for grab and go purposes, but your purse size can vary by the individual. I will say if you have to carry anything in your hand, your purse is NOT big enough. The rule of thumb is that your purse should be proportionate to your bust/upper body size. I do stick to this, however, my purse is ALWAYS large because I'm a BOSS. My purse is proportionate to my personality! Below are some permanent purse residents that all women should carry. Without these, carrying a purse is so unnecessary!
Umbrella: Hello?!!!
Compact Mirror:You gotta be able to check, ANYWHERE!
Brush&Covered Elastic Bands: Hair Emergency Quick Fix
Lipgloss:A nice bright one to dress any look up
Moisturizer: Preferably scented, keeps you soft and smelling good
Tissues: For blotting, extreme face savers!
Baby Wipes: Quick clean ups, back to fresh in 60 seconds flat!
Travel Charger and Headphones: You know why!
Light Snack, Preferably Nuts or Crackers: Just in Case!
Sanitizer: If you're going to be in public, EVER, a must!
Bottled water in warmer months: Southern Girl! You NEED it in your life!
In addition to these items, I also keep a makeup bag, a travel version of my favorite scents, flats, and last but certainly not least, the new extension to my identity, my iPad. It keeps my schedule, email, photos, books, and favorite glossies(magazines) within arms length. I think I might evaporate without it!

IDK How to Chill!!!
Hehehe! A friend of mine mentioned to me that she only has 2 speeds, professional/proper, and completely over the top with no middle ground. Anytime she has to go to an event where one of the 2 is not the intended attire, she completely panics and does not know what to do. Today's post is dedicated to all you girls with the same dilemma. I scoured my wardrobe for pieces that fit the bill and won't take you too far out of your comfort zone. I'm a Dollar Store Whore!
Hello, my name is Khira Mainor-Cozart, and I'm a Dollar Store Whore. So what! I am not ashamed to admit this. There are some pretty awesome things in there, you just gotta know how to navigate and stay focused. Everyone all over YouTube seems to have covered every in and out of the storage aspect, taking full advantage of their extensive office supply isle so I'm not going to really talk much about that. I will mention, however, that the home decor section does offer some more eye catching alternatives for vanity storage if you keep an open mind.
Another often overlooked isle is the school supply section. I have found very cute Multi-colored mesh bags with zip closures in various sizes that turn my purse into a palace, giving everything it's own space. The best part is that they are completely see through, making it super-easy to find what you're looking for. There is also a wide selection of loose glitter that can be used in various "glamouratti" looks, and you tend to get more for the money with several different types having multiple colors in one package. Last but certainly not least, I love the kid-size rolls of clear tape to use on keeping my more dramatic eye looks clean. It's the perfect width, and it tends not to be as sticky as regular tape, making it much more comfortable to remove upon completion. Below I have listed a few of my favorite makeup finds. Bit of an Old Classic
It turns out Frankies mum is a bit of an old classic....Saturday afternoon, end a of a long shoppy Chelsea day sitting in the sun, glass of bubbly, me, Anna, Frankie and my man. Two very naughty french bulldogs, nipping at passers by, barking non stop ... mmm ... Well of course, somewhat predictably, as they leave they spot Frank and fly at him, snapping, growling, biting, now i know Frankie is of a good temperament but this is getting somewhat out of hand, one at the head and the other one distinctly aiming at the rear, Anna is aiming a couple of gentle kicks, Rich is trying to ward them off with a chair whilst holding onto Frankie but nothing is deterring this little pair. And that is when it happened, it was Maggie arising from the dead, Barbara Walkies Woodhouse thrown in for good measure, up I stood and in the loudest, poshest, firmest (picture the 'lady is not for turning'), voice trilled " Stop that you naughty (big maggie emphasis on the naughty)dog" as i thrust my bottega tote between its yapping jaws and Frank's nether regions. And you know what it did. Just like that.
Now sartorially speaking of course I love a classic, i mean give me a classic trench, a good tote, a classic shoulder bag, silk scarf, cashmere shawl, stripey tee, silk blouse, lace dress. Easy pieces that are classic and eternal, and, of course, the things about the classics are that they work, they are easy and one has to particularly love them when they come with a twist, be that styling or the garment itself.
Introducing my first Sadie Harris trench, Saville Row silk/linen cloth, horn buttons and buckle and a fairly classic design - no need for more when the fabric says it all. Paired with a high waisted classic camel flare and a fitted waistcoat with again horn buttons. Its easy, moves well, above all, flattering and they are pieces that incorporate easily into other outfits.
