Inkult Magazine: Primer Aniversario

 Inkult es una publicación independiente en forma digital sobre arte, diseño y estilo de vida. La revista está dedicada a promover el arte en muchas de sus variantes, presentando las obras realizadas por nuevos artistas visuales, plásticos, creativos, autodidactas, profesionales,soñadores y ansiosos de mostrarle al mundo sus creaciones.

Por el motivo extraordinario de cumplir un año con el proyecto, en Inkult Magazine han decidido hacer una serie de actividades especiales paracelebrar este año de logros. Todo esto compilado en una página especial de aniversario, una fiesta conmemorativa, colaboraciones musicales,retroalimentación con comentarios de todos los interesados en Inkult, la documentación y reconocimiento de las mejores propuestas publicadas a lo largo de los 12 números editados y lo que se vaya uniendo.

Trench as Dress

This is the outfit i wore to dinner with my man for our anniversary.  Wanted to feel feminine but with an edge for a special event.  The trench is lanvin and not my usual style being very feminine and girlie.  Wearing it as a dress made it feel more sexy and although feminine still a bit more edgy.  I love wearing trenches as dresses and have a black lace one that i adore in Winter.

Simple jewellery and a pair of pucci patent heels that i got from Outnet (great for bargains esp if you wanted pieces full price and they come up - which these did!).  Clutch is Mcqueen in honour of Kate Middleton looking totally and utterly gorgeous - and the fact that i love it no matter what anyone else wears!! xx 

Weekend of Weddings

Firstly, there was the one that needs no reminding but secondly and more importantly to me it was my wedding anniversary.

I went for a very special dinner with my man on Saturday night and we had a great day together yesterday, wandering the Kings Road - popping into Zara and just being with each other.

Today was the day itself, we got up, Rich walked the dog, we had breakfast and he said he had a surprise for me later.  Sitting on my laptop browsing when i heard the music change and I thought to myself i love this song - he came in, grinning, and said follow the music - as i walked into the study it dawned on me that this was the song we got married to - Girl, you'll be a Woman Soon - the tears started to roll down my face.

He proceeded to give me a lovely present - a Dolce and Gabanna dress i had loved on the catwalk and though the dress is absolutely beautiful, to me that downloaded song is priceless.

We've been together 17 years on life's varied path but it is days like today that remind me how very lucky i am to be sharing this life with this very special man - i love you honey x

Best & Worst at the Royal Wedding

Hay algo que me sorprendió sobre el vestido de Kate Middleton, y no tiene que ver con el vestido en sí, sino el hecho de que se mantuviera en secreto hasta el día de la boda. Fue hasta un día antes del evento que empezaron a correr los rumores de que habían visto a Sarah Burton entrar al hotel donde se hospedaba Kate. Y en verdad, me sorprende que en esta época de redes sociales y tanta información accesible al momento se pudiera guardar algo de esta magnitud. El vestido fue impecable, tomando en cuenta que se trataba de un evento real creo que la opción fue la correcta.

En lo que concierne a invitados, entre las mejores vestidas opino que Zara Phillips, nieta de la reina, mostró un look muy interesante, vanguardista y no tan clásico. Victoria de Suecia, llevó un vestido increíble que la hacía lucir muy bien. Charlenne Wistock, prometida de Alberto de Mónaco fue después de Victoria Beckham, una de mis favoritas. Impecable y perfecta. Y la primera dama de Inglaterra, aunque criticada por no llevar sombrero, lucía muy fresca y cómoda, en la televisión se podría apreciar mejor el vestido a diferencia de las fotos.

Los Beckham creo que jamás habían estado más elegantes e impecables como lucieron en la boda, Victoria optó por un modelo de su firma y un sombrero de Phillip Treacy, mientras que David fue de los pocos en no llevar algo inglés, el vistió de Ralph Lauren. Fueron la pareja más comentada y en verdad los favoritos de todos, y me incluyo.

Charlenne Wistock

Algunas que opino no lucieron tan bien, fueron primera la cantante Joss Stone con un sombrero y un vestido que la hacían ver mayor de lo que es. Letizia de España portó un traje que aunque bonito, en ella lucía muy viejo. Las hijas de la duquesa de York dieron mucho que hablar, luciendo diseños incorrectos y sombreros que aunque pudieron haber funcionado en otro evento, aquí lucian un tanto extraños. Y por ultimo la esposa del vicepresidente de Inglaterra, luciendo un tocado en la cabeza muy interesante y que no supo usarlo, ya que con el vestido, los guantes y la bolsa lucía muy mal.

Bright Blue Trousers

I love these trousers i bought them last year and have worn them quite a bit - they look great with nudes and white.  They are however going to form the basis of my colour blocking trend for summer - one i am a bit nervous of!  Have some great bright pink and yellow shoes that i am going to combine them with but i am not quite sure what to do about a bag - will have a play and post the results soon!

Another summer staple - T by Alexander Wang crop top bra and maxi dress - these are great value for money - easy to wear - only one piece of advice - store them flat.  They grow if hung up! x
