ETC Boutique will present the artwork of Vicki Koepsel for Salina Downtown’s Art Rush on Thursday, Feb. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Vicki creates unique pieces of recycled, repurposed furniture with artistic embellishments. She will display her work in ETC Boutique and the Kress Building hallway at 134 S. Santa Fe and her works will be for sale in ETC Boutique in Suite 120. Refreshments also will be served in ETC.
Teresa Hernandez of Great Playn’s Music Program will provide music.
Vicki sells her work through her studio called Junque Yard Dog.

Fashion/Art Revolution TwEnTy-TeN
Fashion Rocks! ETC knows this. Now you can rock with this spring's new fashions during the Fashion/Art Revolution TwEnTy TeN presented by our friends and neighbors in Thiessen-Elise Salon. Gallery at ETC boutique November 5
Art Rush
Thanks to everyone who attended the Art Ruth on November 5 at ETC Boutique.
Angel Misrahim Reyes Sandoval from Guatemala demonstrated his spray paint art on the sidewalk in front of the Kress Building, ETC's home, for more than two hours to the delight of visitors and those just passing by. Children and adults were fascinated by Angel's ability to create detailed paintings using various techniques with spray paint and scraping tools.
More than 80 people visited the store and enjoyed the refreshments and Angel's completed works.
Also on display that day was a typical altar for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) created by ETC owner Lucy Corley and Alejandra Tenorio.
Both events are representative of ETC's efforts to share the Latin culture with residents of central Kansas. Watch for announcements about the next Art Rush on December 3.

México y Sus Tradiciones
We're very excited! Saturday is the BIG day for an exhibit of classic dresses from each state in Mexico at our store/building. We'll have an official from the Mexican Consulate in Kansas City on hand. Several local officials will participate in an opening ceremony, then the public is invited to view the dresses from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We believe this is a great opportunity to share a taste of Mexican culture with our American friends, plus a great opportunity for our Mexican friends to learn a little more about their own country. We hope to hear lots of English and Spanish intermingled throughout the day. Some of the Hispanic business owners will be on hand to introduce their businesses, and we are sure they will be only too happy to mingle with our American guests and answer questions about some of the customs and culture of Mexico.
